From now on, the Brazilian Microwave and Optoelectronics Society (SBMO) will join forces with the Brazilian Society of Electromagnetism (SBMag) and the journal is renamed to "Journal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Applications" - JMOe.

The JMOe is now a joint-venture between the two sisters societies and it will be managed by two co-editors, Professor Maria Thereza Miranda Rocco Giraldi (SBMO) and Professor Renato Cardoso Mesquita (SBMag). The JMOe will continue an electronic journal but its scope was enlarged to reflect the above association. We now welcome submissons on a broader range of subjects of applied electromagnetics.
