ELECTROMAGNETIC PROPAGATION THROUGH WAVEGUIDE WITH INCLINED WALLS

Abstract


A comparative study of x-band rectangular waveguide with inclined vertical wall with air medium and with dielectric filling is done using Finite Element Method. The effect of these deformation and dielectric filling on TE10, TE20 mode cutoff frequencies and bandwidth is studied. The TE10, TE20 mode cutoff frequencies for waveguide with inclined wall and filled with dielectric medium are less than that for air medium. But the bandwidth in some cases of waveguide with dielectric medium is larger than that for air medium.
