BOUNDARIES BETWEEN THREE CELLS

Abstract


This paper examines the joint statistics of paths to three base stations and estimates the proportion of cell area within which the mobiles are considered to have adequate communication with three or more adjacent base stations in different fading conditions. The calculations are carried out on the instantaneous power basis, in which the signal envelope is assumed to follow the Rayleigh, Lognormal and Suzuki distributions
