A NOVEL MAGNETICALLY COUPLED BANDPASS FILTER USING SIR HAIRPIN RESONATOR

Abstract


A novel magnetically coupled bandpass filter using two pairs steppedimpedance hairpin resonators and magnetically coupling is described. The simplified equivalent circuit of the bandpass filter is used for predicting the passband and stopband performance. By using magnetically coupling between the two pairs stepped-impedance hairpin resonators, the filter has quasi-elliptic function response. The result of the filter demonstrates compact size, a very low insertion and spurious response can be suppressed effectively. The superior features make the microstrip magnetically coupled filter available to be utilized in microwave communication system, and other applications.
